After the balcony bath (divine) and a quick nap (also divine) we decided to head to a well known artsy district that Scott had read about since it was early afternoon and we weren’t due at our dinner cruise for several more hours.

Our “vacation from our vacation” in Koh Lanta was much needed and was a way of recharging our batteries before we would head back to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok for the last few days of our trip and we were enjoying the quiet pace and relaxed atmosphere of the island.

We had been pretty lucky so far weather wise during our trip but the forecast today looked just questionable enough that instead of booking another island hopping tour we opted to stay local so that if the weather turned dodgy we would be close enough to easily make our way home or to somewhere safe to ride it out rather than being several miles out into the Andaman Sea on a tiny boat.
