January Florida Getaway

In early January Scott and I left South Carolina and headed south for a week to take advantage of the sunshine and balmy temps of central Florida.

Thanksgiving 2021 in Beaufort

Immediately after the Pickens Glow Run that we ran in October, Scott and I signed up for another 5k- this time it was a turkey trot in downtown Greenville to benefit Trees Upstate, a non-profit devoted to “planting, promoting, and protecting” trees in the Upstate.

Some November hikes

The mild weather in November meant that we were able to get some good hikes in and we were able to do some exploration of the Highway 11 “adventure corridor.

Green River Narrows Kayak Race 2021

On a cold blustery day in early November we bundled up and headed up the Saluda grade to Hendersonville, NC for the annual Green River Narrows kayak race.
